Dear Friends and Fellow Educators,

Welcome to Georgia Educational Programs Inc., a non-profit organization. Our mission is to provide high quality educational programs for schools, museums, history centers and other organizations. We want to create memorable learning experiences for your school or organization by bringing the best educational programs in the southeast to you.

Teachers, our in-school programs adhere to Georgia Performance Standards, which can be found with our description of programs.

If your museum or organization needs educational programming or would like to develop a new event, we can help. We create and promote programs, produce educational materials and design publications. We also organize and staff major events, summer camps and workshops. Please call 770-313-0519 to find out how we can help.

Archaeology of the Southeastern Indians. May 9, 2012 at the Etwowah Indian Mounds in Cartersville.

What do we know about Georgia's earliest residents and how do we know it? Students learn about the history of natives in the southeast and see demonstrations of tools and weapons by archaeologist Scott Jones.  Students also tour the Etowah site with experts who explain important features and visit the museum at the Mounds.  This program is great for 2nd, 4th and 8th graders. 2 hours.
